Wedding Ideas That Are Cool
OK, we did a wedding over the weekend near Buena Vista, at the Mount Princeton hot springs resort. This couple NAILED IT. They were married on 3.14.15… which is the same digits as in Pi ~ So cool. They ran with the theme and served miniature pies rather than cake, and even arranged all of the ceremony seating in a circle out side of the beautiful pavilion (shown in picture with Mannequin’s Olivia playing music during the cocktail and dinner hours). But here’s the really cool idea, and it’s good for any potentially cold weather wedding.
They rolled brown fleece blankets into logs and stacked them up like firewood. Genius. The weather was really nice, but had it not been, they had a great idea! As it was, several of the older guest used the blankets:) Then… you got to take your blanket home. It was a gift!!! Brilliant. I didn’t check, but what do you want to bet they even embroidered their names and the wedding date on the blankets. I forgot to take a picture of the stack of blanket logs, but it looked like this picture, except in a really cool log holder… So, to Courtney and Mike Giesakee, congrats and thanks for showing us another cool idea for a wedding!
